According to the customs policies of your country/region, your order may involve the following additional charges:
Import Duties: They are levied by the customs of the destination country based on the type and value of the goods, and the rates vary from country to country.
Value-added Tax/Consumption Tax (VAT/GST/Sales Tax) : Such as EU VAT , US state sales tax , Australian GST , etc.
Customs Clearance Fee: Some logistics companies (such as DHL and FedEx) may charge a fixed fee .
1. How can I know if I need to pay customs duties or taxes?
You can check the duty-free threshold and tax rate through the official website of your country’s customs . High-value goods are more likely to be taxed. The logistics company will contact you to pay the fee during customs clearance.
2. Is the amount shown at checkout the final cost?
If the page is marked with “DDP (Duty Paid) “, the total price already includes duty /VAT, and you do not need to pay any additional fees. If marked as “DDU (Duty Not Paid) “or not specified, the duties/taxes need to be paid by you upon receipt of the goods. Exchange rate conversion fee: Using an international credit card /PayPal may incur a handling fee of 1% to 3%, subject to the regulations of the card-issuing bank.
3. What will happen if the customs duties are refused to be paid?
The customs may detain or destroy the package. The logistics company will charge a return fee (borne by the buyer), and the order payment cannot be fully refunded.
Warm reminder: We cannot control the customs policies of various countries. Please assess the cost risk by yourself before placing an order.
